Our Patron Pauline Bewick  RHA, Aosdána
 - One Of Ireland's Foremost Contemporary Artists

Born in England in 1935, Pauline moved to Ireland with her mother Harry and sister Hazel at the age of four. Her childhood was lively and adventurous to say the least and included living in a house boat, a railway carriage and a farm in Kenmare. With encouragement from both the progressive schools she attended and from Harry, Pauline has been painting since the age of two and has always drawn inspiration from her deep love of nature and wildlife. After countless exhibitions around the world and having published many books, Pauline announced in 2006 that she would donate 400 paintings and 7 decades of work to the Irish state. These collections are now on permanent display in the Waterford Institute of technology and Library Place in Killorglin. Pauline lives and works with her husband Pat and her beloved 5 year old Golden Retriever, Ben, in Kerry.
